Melissa Rosado (zoominfo), is a dancer, a choreographer and a master instructor in a variety of styles of Latin dancing, particularly that which is commonly known as Salsa but in New York, is also called Mambo.Born and raised in the Bronx, NY and of Puerto Rican decent, Melissa began dancing Salsa pretty much from the moment she was born.While growing up, she took lessons with the Mambo King and Queen, Eddie and Maria Torres (choreographers and performers with the late Tito Puente). Until she was old enough to become of member of their professional dance team.She graced the stages of Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, Apollo Theatre and countless other venues with some of the top Salsa bands of the day including Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo and Tony Vega just to name a few!Over the past year and a half, Melissa was partnering with former Eddie Torres Dance Company principal, Adolfo Indacochea.

Since the early age of 5, Melissa has studied and performed in various forms of dances such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap and African. It wasn’t until the age of 9 that Melissa discovered her passion for Mambo when she began taking classes with Eddie and Maria Torres at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx. Years later, she was invited to be one of the first members of Eddie Torres’ Junior Company, which made its debut at Madison Square Garden. From then on, she continued to train and study in the Eddie Torres technique and later become part of the Eddie Torres Senior Company and teaching staff. Melissa has had the fortunate pleasure to have shared the stage with legends such as the late great Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, Tony Vega, Eddie Palmieri, Winton Marsalis, El Gran Combo, and many other artists.
